Drop shotting in the surf?

What do you think is the over all best drop shot plastic around?

Heres my top 3 picks:

1. Bass trix

2. Berkley gulp jerk shad

3. Zoom super fukes

ive caught almost all of the major surf species on the smelt colored jerkshad in the surf, havnt tried basstrix in the surf yet.

I would just stick with what you are comfortable with, 2/0 stinger treble and you should be good to go! :LOL:

1. zoom flukes 4' [not the superflukes, just the regular flukes]
2. bassproshop drop shot worm
3. mayyyybe basstrix [the look nice, but dont swim nearly as good as flukes do]

basstrix catch fish, used to fish them a lot a few years back but, but i do better with the skinny flukes with WTP eyes than anything else by far.

how bout this.. long shank hook or short shank?

ya i dono, to me they just swim better, especially with the short shanks. guess its just preference though
