Let's all go to Lake Dixon man! That's where the real toads are at!

Hell, the word record is still alive and well in that Lake and that lake is smaller than the Lagoon itself!

You can use a boat there, but you have to rent one. I wish there were more lakes that didn't have all the watercraft action. Nothing is more irritating than having a couple of Seadoos do donuts 15 feet away from your line.

I agree with you on this one F-O-M...
Lake lice ruin a good bite...

I think most of the guys down at Dixon probably don't want the Castaic Lagoon patrol to show up any time soon.

We'd clean that little mud hole out in a week from the shorline. LOL

The place would be ruined and then they would all have to be doing their trophy hunting at the Lagoon.....

Let's just leave well enough alone OK, FlyMaster!!

Plus, why do I get the sinking feeling that a lot of these trophy bass shots are kill photos?

Good fishing to ya, later............. geobass

because there is no live well in the rentals and they are not on water in a boat after a fresh catch ready to release. Nice fish, sad pics. I know, I know, you already knew that, but the others.....?

San Diego is bass central in a state that has produced 22 of the top 25 bass ever officially recorded. Oh, and have they come close! Every year, San Diego lakes yield big-bellied bass in the upper teens. Three lakes — Miramar, Hodges and Dixon — have produced 20-pound-plus largemouth.

We need to see reports from somewhere else besides Castaic. This lake is being over fished and makes for a crowded environment. Let's give it a rest and take some pressure off the fish for a while so they can grow.

I'm sure it would be much appreciated by the locals as well.

For trophy fishing; the San Diego vicinity... there's no better place in the United States to catch giant bass!! I believe, deep in my heart, that someone will catch the next world record there … It's just a matter of time."

Actually, I go on Sunday morning; and on Wednesday I serve in the children's ministry so parents have an opportunity to go to church while their children are being taught and cared for.

tubing is not allowed. Boat rentals are available and shoreline fishing.

Weather temps are also much cooler; making for a more enjoyable fishing experience.

Lake Hodges and Lake Miramar are also good bets.
