Sorry for the late report, but I had a little picture uploading issue (I couldn't find my usb cord!)

Was looking forward to the end of the year cat tourney all week so I arrived a little early to meet up with some of the guys and shoot the breeze.

Pulled to the gate and saw Whit n Jimmy's sign

Initially met up with 2Quick, GrampaFish and Hometown for a "pre-game brewski" before everyone else started trickling in the gate...

Took a few moments to visit some friends and noticed someone had brought some flowers...very cool :Thumbs Up:

The tree Bebop had planted for Dana looks to be doing very well...

Lake level should be ideal for trout season, lots of room to troll out there and Woody's Cove will be in full effect again. The area below the campground will allow for prime shore access for people to fish right next to their cars if they so choose...

Participants were given reflective vests as they arrived to allow security to ID us on the lake and allow us to stay on the water after midnight. 2Quick used his vest in an effort to imitate Kewly's ninja look, I could barely tell them apart afterwards!

As the night wore on more and more people showed up and we were all treated to beverages, quesadillas, hot corn chips and some killer guacamole before dinner was ready. Daniela and the staff put out a great spread of hot food before getting us out on the water for the night...

If you read VinePatrol's report you already know who won this jacket! Congrats Elaine!

At the docks just before take off and right after getting debriefed by Officer Trolly and Deputy Pontoon about the various tourney rules

Didn't take many pictures out on the lake, because well...it was dark! that and the fact my partner NoHoArt and I had a slow night fishing out there. We anchored up near the dam and stuck to our guns by not moving and fishing large baits only. I have to tell you it was flippin cold and wet out there, if you fish this event next year bring lots of layers and outwear should be some type of water repellent material :Cold Fishing:Hot tea off the portable stove was awesome at 1am thank you Art, especially when you realize you forget to pack gloves and face mask(luckily my extra pair of socks and bandana did the trick in a pinch). The lone fish of the night of course struck after I crawled into my sleeping bag, so I fought him rather non traditionally to say the least! He went a decnt 4.12, but still not worthy of top 10 honors...nice quality out there right now!

Just like every fishing adventure, it always comes to an end too quickly as the light started to creep over the mountains to the Easthttp://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/CatMasters2010035.jpg

Headed back to the dock and was greeted by Mitz and the morning crew, packed our gear and bumped into Hometown on the way to the scales with his skunk punking BEAST! :Envious:

I was wondering how others did for the night. Ronson & I anchored up off the bouy line and had a solid stringer of 10 fish. A few 3 & 4 lbers, probably 4 5 lbers and topped by my 10lber short 2 ozs! lol. Was a great night for the bite just not the ones we needed!!
