Kern County rumor?

Anyone know if there was a problem at the local Kern County hatchery where they had to dump alot (25,000#s) of fish in the Kern River and Lake Isabella? A guy I met in the Sierra's claimed this.

i dont know about recently, but I know in the past the pipes got filled with mud, so they had to release all their fish, including brood stock.
i was up there a couple months ago and their fish holds were full.
