So a friend and I got there around 5:45 am at the Bernasconi gate only to wait for 20 minutes to see if they were going to open the gate....I guess they weren't. We then drove around to the Launch ramps and started there. Casted out a few times inbetween the ramps but the POPO said i couldn't fish there because the weekends tend to get a little busy. They usually don't care during the week but I had to respect that. So we headed to the point out from the Ranger docks. I casted out my fishfinder and found that they were sitting in abot 18 feet of water. So I casted out a drop shop with a 24" leader and bam!!! Caught a nice one...then 5 minutes later bam!!! another the 5 minutes later bam!!! another one. After those 3 the bite slowed as the sun was starting to get warmer. At this point it is around 8:30 and the lake is starting to get a little busy. We headed to the Ranger dock spoke to the Ranger for a while and one of the maintenance guys. The bluestoning hasn't reached the shore just yet. I decided to flyline a SENKO at the Ranger dock and bam!! caught another one.....great day overall I think.260542605526056

Nice! One of my favorite spots. I fish there often in my float tube. Some nice 'Gills there too at times.

I have had mine for like 10 years ...it's a Hummingbird Smart cast RF30. I think that the best part of it is that the transducer is replacable for like 25 bux. It is really accurate for depth and finding fish but structure is a bit difficult to understand sometimes. The new RF35 has water temp but they are still $100. Like mine , you wear it like a watch and cast the bobber type trans out...works great till about 75 away and reads all the way to 100 feet. The watch part is the screen. Check it out on BPS.
