Hi Everyone,
I've lurked for a few weeks to check out the atmosphere on this board and decided to get registered. I like the humor some of you guys have!
Anyway, I'm 40ish, and live in the South Bay. My 8 year old son and I cruised up to Big Bear a while back and we arrived there at day break. We picked up some Mc'D's breakfast and drove to the lake to eat it. While we were there we saw carp busting the surface all over the lake. My son got excited about that and wanted to go fishing!
I hadn't fished since my teens so we had no equipment. I took him to that "Alpine Trout Lakes"(pond) up there for his first time. 5 trout and $50+ later.... he and I were getting bit by the bug I read about here, aside from the $50 choked out of me.
Since then, I have been using the net to check out fishing related info etc.... and came across this place with local info and discussions.
Fishingnetwork is by far the most valuable place for info that I have seen so far when it comes to local fishing information.
So, it's nice to meet you all,
Klocked
