i think you win lol. i think i have a caught a bigger smb than the one posted on that website. unfortunatley i didnt have a camera or a scale cuz i was tubing but mine went 3# for sure. it couldve been a high 2#er

I am surprised. You could be a contender. The one I saw floating in the lake would have busted the record. The smell would have given it away. lol :O)

Dude the so called "lake record" is a dink in my book. Yours is much larger. Anyways, those crappies you have in your post is pretty damn large considering how many stunted crappies exist in the lake.

Hey Steve, we both have lake record crappie. You at Big Bear and me at Perris! Hey man I hate to say this but a 1.26 lb Black Crappie is gunna go 12 inches. Yours looks to be 10? (Ha-ha mine was 18"...I still can't believe that!) I guess the crappie are relatively new in BB. That or there is not enough food for them because most are small. Hopefully in a couple years they will be a few inches longer and a pound heavier.

Try small crankbaits and aggressive jigging to get the slabs. I think that should do it.

1.26 pounds? That's it?!?!?!?! I'm gonna start weighing my bigger ones to see how they measure up. I could swear I've had more than one 12"+ that should have pushed that number.
May have to wait until it heats up next summer, but I'm sure someone on FNN will be able to smoke that record!
I'll definitely be tubing Oct 15-18 - Been weeks since I've been up and I'm gettin' real itchy!!! May be able to run up this Sunday, but not yet sure.
Holler-out to "Eric" or "ET" if you think you see me kicking around the dam area in my blue fischat4 w/ 2 rods and a dorky camo-hat with a big flap in the back!!!!
