My buddy and I hit up GVL early saturday morning, got there about 6:15 and were in the water bt 6:30. It was hot in the morning, getting bite after bite until about 8:00 then it slowed down a bit. We talked with Bob and we had a good convo. we were fishing by the right side of the damn and he told us about a few honey holes. oh boy, a few beers and hours later my buddy nailed a 3lb then I nailed a 6Lb. I got a 4lb literally like 30 seconds later and it was all good. Had a great time and it was worth the drive. To all of you who hate on GVL.... Shame on you, that place is epic. I will be up there next week to kill them again.

FYI

Andrew's (Trout 1) picture is at GVL if I'm not mistaken. Try some Lemon Twist and Chartreuse Chroma-glow for me next time. I thought it's a wonderful lake. My social director loved commuting there from our cabin in BBL.

How was the water level? I was there a month ago and someone told us they were draining it that week.

I talked to a local and he said its down 9 feet....they are lowering it a foot a day and i talked to hime a few days ago so its prolly about 12ft down now. they are only draining it 15ft.
