Decided to chase stripers at castaic today. Kind of got a late start, was on the the water at 8:30. Went to a few coves looking for boils. Started throwing some topwater stuff, swim baits, crankbaits even pulled out the fly rod.
Didn't see a single boil, metered fish all over Elizabeth cnyn but couldn't get them to bite.
Decided to call it a day with the ol skunk job. Talked to some bass guys and they didn't do too well. Saw a few guys in a rental baited down off a cove by Elizabeth canyn get one.
Definitely a tough bite.
