1/2 day am trip on aboard the city of long beach

Hit the landing at 630am expecting a crowd since the weekend. However, arriving at the parking alot there was only 14 anglers going out for the trip. Scatter showers in the morning, air temp 78, water unknown, murky green water, low swells, fishing was slow. Also dfg was on board with us to do a survey. Myself 2 salmon grouper and 2 red snappers. Slow day. Get em next time. The whole boat was slow. The a.m. Bite was not on today.

Over 25 red snapper
10 salmon groupers
50 rockfish

Got some sprinkles at Pier J LB. Saw some bait too.

Not bad bunch of fish for tacos. 14 guys on the boat. It would be interesting if you looked at some of the landings archives recently. They've got boats going out with 7 or 8 folks .... that's when they actually go out !!
