Went out with Kevin today, aim was to dip shad and get on the fish and do some catching, both accomplished !!!
very freaky day with the thunder and lighting in the hills, also had a real good downpour for about a hour, I kept a close eye out for the lighting, it stayed in the hills and never was a threat.
Kevin was tearing the largie up, I lost count after 20 for Kevin, plus a bonus of 2 stripers for dinner, never had to leave the cove we where in but I wanted to see what else was going on around the lake, so we stayed close to our orignal spot, and came back and finished the half day trip off there. awesome day, thanks again Kevin had a great time fishing and enjoyed your company.
Ran into Dave and Luke, Eddie out on lake this morning.
Good seeing you guys out on the water, Luke is only 7 and loves to fish...

Great seeing you today Dave. Glad to hear you guys killed them.

The first thing I caught today was a duck. I launched my lure towards the back of a cove and the ducks on shore took fight and flew into my line, it was an unfortunately long cast. Maybe should have waited but didn't really have time to react once they were in the air and was just hoping they would turn.

I felt bad and didn't want my 7 year old to watch the bird die so I slowly reeled him into the boat and picked him up. He let me pick him up and remove the hook from his wing then put him back in the water.

He was tired and swam back to shore and took a few minutes to collect himself and took off again. No broken bones, just a sore wing. He was probably wondering WTF just happened, I was too. Pretty sure he'll be fine.

We did OK but you killed it.

Great job!
