Oct 2nd, Skinner WFO! In the morning

Hit the lake by 6am and went straight to the west end looking for the usual 1/2 hour striper boil at sunup. It started kinda slow but man, once it got going the stripers were hitting topwater like crazy. Had 7 in the boat by 7:30. Not only that, but the LMB came out to play too! Stripers were in 10'-50' and the LMB that were eating topwaters were around 3' to 12' and they were nice ones to boot (+- 3lb class) .

Looking good for fall as the bite continued up until around 9:30 today instead of the usual 7:30- 8:00. Good times around the corner.

Thanks for the report. Did you hear of anything going on at ramp 2 yet?

Not a whole lot. There are some guys catching catfish around there though. I was told they will be stocking trout 1st week of November (I think that's what they said?). Mr. stripey will come looking for those I'm sure. And that's when #2 area heats up.

Thanks P.A.W. I remember last year when they went nuts at ramp 2 and could clean house throwing plastic swimbaits at the jailbirds. Can't wait to get on them with the boat.
