Each trip up I try to fish at least 1 new lake. Going up on Friday to Mammoth but wanted to catch the evening bite somewhere near Bridgeport/ Lee Vining so that we can eat at Nicely's. Already fished Lundy and Little Virginia but was thinking of Bridgeport Res., Twin Lakes or Saddleback. Any suggestios or advice would be appreciated.

I would fish the reservoir (Bridgeport) if I was you it is absolutely insane right now. Fish down by the dam and you should be fine. Chance at big browns and I'm not talking 2-3lbers either. Guys fishing from the shore have been killing it and it's getting better.

Good luck

You should try Lake Ellery, its the 1 st lake when you go up to 120 (Tayoga pass)
I was there Labor day,me and the boys killed about 20 fish in an hour,
where the creek from Saddlebag goes into the lake..
Its only a half hour up the 120. from the mobil station.

Slow Angelenos and rockslides can hold ya up on 120. Not a drive for the acrophobic.
