me and patrick worked in lone pine thurs only had a couple hours to fish in the way home so stopped at the sand trap to see the water was cut off,so we headed up the canyon to hit a couple holes in the little creek, we were hoping dennis from the blackrock hatchery had stocked lately some of there fat little rainbows ,one of the salesmen from my shop wanted me and patrick to bring him some fish ,we did two fast limits. the creek was low and slow but the holes were holding fat hunry trout,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,T/O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

That one pic looks like Patrick is fishing in a dry creek. Now, that would be some tough fishing.

There are no fish pictures. Did you bring the guy a can of sardines?

TO help me understand, you and Patrick fished for two hours on the way home and keep 14 and 16 rainbow? I thought the limit was five in a day so that should come to ten for both of you. Did they raise the limit where you were fishing?

Fshnlic,,,,,,,,,,because ive worked and vacationed in the area for so long ive hit every piece of water up the owens vally,,,my favorite was the haiwee res, im hoping the law suit to reopen will be succesfull ,it took a lawsuit to open it the first time. Those res got me my biggest rainbows and browns out of the whole valley,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

T/O.... ditto on Haiwee.... I loved fishing the stream connecting the upper to the lower... gorgeous fish is all I'm gonna say.... Didn't they say the reason they re-closed it was to prevent "terrorist" activity after 911.. sounded like a bunch of Hoo-Ha to me... Is there a lawsuit pending to reopen it?? I can always use another place to fish!!
