San antonio guide trips fri-sat -killin the pigs

this was not supposed to happen , i was supposed to go to castaic lagoon and help gary and hiro sat at there event,but as the week end got closer i got contacted by prior clients who wanted fish the place so i had to tell gary i couldnt make it,him and hiro didnt need me anyway they did great last year so i know they would do it again. friday was a half day with john ,who was on his way north to see some friends and do some buisness.he was supposed to be there at 630 but something happened that stalled his start by three hours ,he called so i fished until his arrival that was bad for mr stripey, i had already seen hreds of deer on the way in and all kinds of animals on the drive there ,so i knew there was going to be activity.the stripers were ver,it was y shallow smashing the shad all over the place, but the funny thing was all the action was in deep open water. i killed four fish before john got there , he got four more while he fished his half day in the middle chunk of the day ,no boat traffic and shad popping everywhere. thankyou john and i know youre friends were going to enjoy the striper the following night.after john left i went back out and tryed some stuff off the downriggers but i didnt get any action as the sun went down i came off the water got cleaned up did some phone calls the hit the sleeping bag for sleep and dreams of big stripey kills for the next day. sat it was tom and daves turn ,they are a couple fellows who are narcotics police from bako,so like last time no emages of them or the beer they were drinking ,sorry tom,i glad dave was driving home,,lol,,,,. anyway the boys were right on time and we hit the water the stripeys were doing the same thing pounding the schools shallow ,but we only got deep water fish to go, the ones in shallow would just not go. we didnt see any boiling either day. one of the funniest things was oneof the t-shirts i grabbed that was worked was pretty much wore out like me so i had to take off the one i had on and replace it for some photo oops which were limited because of the nature of the guys work ,back home in bako.we slowly picked away at the stripeys in alot of spread out areas, the guys ended up with 12 stripeys with alot of fat ones between ten and 12 lbs. thankyou guys for all the laughs and great conversation,and thankyou for using my service and enjoy all youre fish,,,,,,,,,,,T/O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Bob - Had luck a few years ago on those busting fish at San Antonio casting a 6" all white big hammer on a 1oz all white hammerhead. They wouldn't eat other stuff like rattletraps and spoons but they would eat that. Something to try! Always enjoy your reports, figured I would try to help.
