My Friend James just got back from New York and called me up on Friday and asked if we could do some fishing on Saturday. I hate fishing the weekends, but since it is like a million degrees out on Friday, I canceled some of my appointments for Saturday and took my good friend to do some fishing. Joining me once again was also Dennis. Plan was to go get some of the big sandbass on plastics then get some big vermillions later on in the day. We had a pretty good day fishing. Time machine:

Here is how the day started. I was freezing my butt off. I might have to reconsider going to New York with James to fish the tile fish if I get this cold over here in the west coast.

Here is James with a early morning bass on his green mogambo plastic.

I think this is his second one, not sure. But the sand bass were big.

Dennis also got plenty of action on the big sandbass.

All the bass were coughing up squid. So we cut the squid and used them as trailers.

I took one of the coughed up squid and put it on a leadhead. Reward was a nice sandbass.

We were getting a good bite all morning until the armada of boats showed up. Started with a sportboat then 295790874353 private boats. That shut down the bite real quick. We had enough bass fishing anyways, so it was now onto getting some meat on the plate for my fishing guests.

With meat I mean red snappers. Here is James with a decent vermillion. Not the size we were looking for but it will do.

This is the size we need. We loaded up on these.

I will end the post with this.
Had a great rare weekend fishing trip. Lots of big Bass, lots of big cod. Lots of fun. See you next time.
