Thirteenth in line was fairly lucky for a Friday. Went on the prowl looking for boils and saw some smaller ones that didn't look like stripers. My son Mike always throws a XPS slash bait and couldn't wait to get it in the water. Comes up with the first fish of the day, a green one.

But that wasn't what we were looking for so he tossed it back and made another cast and came back in with a taco on the end of the line. Things died there so we went on the troll and put another taco in the boat. As we resumed trolling Mike spots some stripers on the boil and the trolling rigs are put away for the rest of the day. We started the chase and move method and finally boated a total of 11 and invited them home for dinner.
All were schoolie rats but the perfect size for eating. The largest pulling the scale down at 2-15.
Catch and Release into the Grease.
