Had a few days of vacation 9/19 took off up the 395 with my wife left the kids home, stopped at Bishop Line st for a few fish and 60 or so Crawfish for dinner, got to June Loop and checked in at the Reverse Creek Lodge (very cool and clean place) David the owner hooked us up with a discounted rate (Thanks David) made our dinner and got some nice rest and called it a night...
next mornig got up early and drove up to Saddlebag lk to see whats up there, first time fishing there for us and the place is awesome, loaded with both stockers and native fish, I stopped useing my spin rod and got the fly rod out and started getting hits on the wooliy buggers on the slow retrive... also fished the creek that comes out of the lake for some browns and bows mostley small 7-10" on NCs and eggs, this went on all day, drove back to the Loop area and stopped at Rush creek for a while and we had great fishing ther too NCs and eggs...
third day I wanted to go to Bridgeport and fish for some quality browns that I always read about...
Called my Brotherman (TROUT MASTERS) since he had just got back from there and had cought a monster brown... as always he was Right On with the directions (Thanks BRO) fished the E Walker river for about two hours or so for some nice browns on the fly rod mostley 1 1/2lb to 3 lbs Icould not belive it... IT WAS AWESOME. First time I was catching fish on the fly... (not a virgin anymore) but now I'm f****N hooked on the fly stuff... my wife was not really having fun there so we went up to the dam so she can get some fish to, started to throw the gold TB and Rapals for some nice size rainbows right off the dam...
wide picked up around 2:30 and we headed back to June loop Completley Satisfied...
I wish we had more time there to fish some of the other creeks and lakes, but ther is always next time...
