I've been thinking about going after some cats for a while. I have never fished for Catfish before so I was wondering if anyone had any tips on bait, location, or time of day. Also, I don't have any catfish hooks and I was wondering if that really makes a difference. If you can give me any pointers I'd really appreciate it.

You could use a baitholder if u are fishing with worm, but you should use liver...they rocks! I use circle hook 4/0 to get my cats!

Awesome thanks for the tips. So chicken liver huh? Do you just get that at a butcher counter or something? And the nylon you wrapped it in, where do you get that stuff from? Can you use something like stockings? Nice catch by the way!
