Hoped to get out a little earlier than 6pm on Saturday, but the best laid plans don't always pan out. Picked up my daughter, grabbed her a quick bite to eat at Mickey Dee's and headed for the lake....my change from dinner, a nice good luck omen perhaps?

Got to the lake and spent some time chatting at the tackle shop with the crew before heading over to the boat dock, water level is still coming down slowly but surely as camping below the fish cleaning station should be in full effect come trout season!

The kid's lagoon must have been pretty good as we watched a nice kitty get landed in the short time we were driving by

Team Trolltoon heading out for the night, Trolly you are a DIEHARD after being at DVL all day in the heat...great talking to you guys.

Settled into a spot for the night and decided three rods would be rigged with BIG baits and one with a slightly smaller offering in hopes of enticing a bigger model to show it's face. About an hour or so later rod #1 starts ripping off line and I knew exactly what it was when I set the hook...."wiper power!" Oh well skunk off.

After that we had very little action so we settled in for the night in hopes of a big old kitty. Knowing it would get cold I set my daughter up with a sleeping bag, blanket, cushions and pillows...I would say she was warm and comfortable, mission accomplished!

Gave 2Quick a call to pass some time and shoot the shet when I heard my clicker going off, hung up the phone and gave it a long 10 count and started cranking to put my circle hook into action....not the size I was really looking for but it turned out to be a decent little chunker.

Fresh mack soaked in Biteon Cajun(thanks Killa) did the trick...

The end of the night came quickly and we we unloaded our gear just shy of midnight before taking the long 10 minute drive home ....although the Titan eluded us this time around we will be back, armed and ready for the King of The Cats tourney in a couple weeks. See you out there and thanks for reading.
