carlsbad jetti

So after 2 weeks of work 122 hours later I get to soak my line. I chose the jetti in front of the power plant. Took blood worms was pretty slow til I got this big hit. Pulled this fish, it was like a gold color not silver like this. I don't know what it is. I think it's a rubber lip perch. Don't know. Then I get a big opleye. Second time catching one. These guys are fiesty guys . Can some one verify the fish. This thing was fat. Excuse the grammar I'm on my typing on my HTC evo

it may be a walleye perch, a BIG maybe.

Yeah I thought too but it had the color of a spot fin croaker
