Fished from the Kernville Park up to Fairview Campground. Made stops at the KR3 powerplant and Headquarters Campground along the way. Caught and released over 25 trout. Most caught by drifting salmon eggs on 4lb test through rapids into pools. Decided to switch to a gold Panther Martin when salmon eggs slowed. The fish hit the spinner as well. Fished from 8am to 3:30pm until we were "fished out" and our backs hurt! Have a few pics but need to add them later.

Nice. Thanks for the report. I'm heading up there in a couple weeks to get on the trout. The bite has been good for a while now. Do you fish the panther martin in the smaller pools too? or just in broader areas like the power station? seems like fishing the panther in the small pools would be tough, but i'm a little inexperienced at the kern.

Nice report,good job catching those trout,i may go up to kern in few weeks
may be with my brotherman bigbass,last time i was there it was 4 years ago
