Does the oil tank need a priming bulb? I have one on my bass boat but it my low oil alarm keeps going off, when I prime it while the alarm is on it turns off. Should I replace the oil priming bulb or get rid of it totally? A mechanic at Angler's marine told me that they do not use priming bulbs on the oil tank. Is that true? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance

I have one too but have never used it. 1996 150 hp Johnson 2 stroke.
It is about a 1 gallon tank with a low oil sensor at the cap.
