View Full Version : 9/8 Stripers Kill-LMB landed: with KPN-kahn, and Big D

Soo.....

Meeting and talking about striper fishing with Big Daddy at the Vine led to todays theatrics with ''kpn'' kahn-

To keep it simple- the boys started early since i didnt get there until later, had to stop at Last Chance to pick up a lure...kpn :Wink: By 830 i was at the lake, called up Big D and said they got some of the schoolies on the spot i sampled before,,, so Big D and Kahn wiped the skunk off, i knew that was gona good! I then got on the water with them by 845- and we were off- The boys found a boil right from the start and i said lets go! they were on it while i tied up- managed a few schoolies right there...and to mention as i did to kahn, these DVL schoolies are some healthy chubbies! and he smiled agreed- well the day was solid, saw alot of boaters out, made it tough at times- but we still managed to slay...Big D managed to kill limits and saw his boat slay JM-II-

I got one hookup that felt like mini horse- landed on the KPN mini... was a reaal fun fight! nice DD striper 10lbr

Thank you KPN, and BD for the fun day on the water- more to come for sure!
oh at end of day, i fell outta boat man i'm sore- anyways not too much info "sworn to secrecy boys" :Wink:

To Kewly- Congrats on that DD striper. You definitely put in your time learning the ways of those stripers at the Jewel. Your time on the water finally got you that beast. It really looks a lot bigger then 10 lbs, something in the 15 lb range. Keep slaying those stripers so that one day we'll see a few holdovers on the troll. Great job and go get that boat of yours..............

nice job out there. i was there yesterday too and that overcast weather was awesome. Top water didnt stop hardly all. :) wish i couldve chased more of the striper boils but i was on a putput rental boat :/ still did good though

serious- mann too much fish taco's, but never enough fishin! since i've been sore the last few days- i needed to share the thick stripey fillets-practiced some stripey recipes that turned out...well i'm not a chef, yet. lol hey i sent those cel shots after we gottem in the boat :Wink:...now send me the big trout shots from yer "pond(s)..! lol"
