NPH 09/02/10 Real Low tide bite

Hello everyone, got the green light to go fishing with my buddy Scott last night. We fished the Island throwing dines/squid. Pretty decent bite from 8 pm to about 1030 pm, tide was real low with calm water. All night log the smelt were getting boiled on next to the dock. I threw plastics and swim baits with no love. All hit/catches where on the squid, nothing except crabs eating the dines. Landed multiple skates/stingrays.

I was getting some decent hits so I picked up my rod, missed this little guys mouth and snagged him in the butt, but he gave me a little piece of his mind as I was releasing him. STUNG ME right in the thumb, guess he wasn't too happy about getting it in the booty. My first time I've ever been stung DONT FEEL TO GOOD

Finally a nice run zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, set the hook fight was on, I was able to turn him pretty quick with the sealine50 w/30lb. Then she ran straight towards me, as I was catching up with her she darted left started pulling drag again, then ---------------------------------- WTF not sure how she did it but it was like she had a knife in her pocket. Anyways landed 4 or 5 different species of skates/stingrays not Batrays but this little girl was deff. PREGO

being stng is no good.. lol was stung for the second time bout amonth ago right inder my ankle its no fun! lol.. first time nothing happend got me somewhere in the hand werid maybe cause i bled like crazy and none :s.... no bats huh?

Sucks about getting stung, I watched Brandon get stung in the ankle. Easily the funniest thing i've seen in the last 10 years.

I like to clip the stinger when i C&R a stingray or batray, it grows back eventually, but in the meanwhile its a little safer lol. At least thats how i think about it.

man these things were plaguing me all night into this morning at Dana Point.

I was catching HUGE roundies too.. Alot of mine were preggo as well.
