Almost ran a red light thursday driving around PV.
Came over the hill at Terranea and was in WTF is going on ???
WHALE SPOUTS EVERYWHERE ! Did a U turn and parked at the lookout spot between Terannea at Pt Vicente. Must have seen 20 to 30 whales in spread out all over into pods of 2 to 6. Some in close, some out far. Couldn't believe it, never seen so many. And a big school of porpoise.
Saw alot of bait in San Pedro. Down by 22nd St along the new marina about 100' of solid bait about 3".
Cherry Beach LB at lunch the other day saw a big area of diving Pelicans and Gulls
20' off the beach. Full Moon Grunion ? I dunno.
Homemade Lures. Talked to this guy and he showed me his Bonito lures.
He takes torpedo weights and smashes them with a hammer then glues on candy wrapper foil pieces for color and eyes then a treble hook.
Dude casted them far and told me he got tied of buying lures.
Been some fog lately too. Last few days AM fog near the breakwall in LB.
Yesterday (fri) AM fog and a stiff breeze. After noon it turned to PM glass off with epic conditions.
Anyone seen any Bonito ?
