Quickie report from Woodstock

Spent a beautiful afternoon soaking up the sun, the sights and the music at the Vine last Saturday for the 5th annual Woodstock reunion...WHAT A BLAST!!!!

Started the day hanging with Mitz and in the parking lot for a bit shooting the bull and talking with anxious tailgaters waiting for the gates to open. The sounds of Santana filled the air shortly thereafter and the good times just kept right on rolling!

A colorful crowd showed up for the big event

After sampling some of the killer food to be had and enjoying the festivities NoHo and I grabbed a rental and hit the water...which is starting to slowly but surely go down as evidenced by the picture below. Hey the fire pits are still there, can't wait to enjoy a lake side fire on a chilly night this trout season!

Along the way we picked up this charcter, either he was happy to see us or the Jack Daniels was still flowing from the night before...or maybe NoHo found 2Quick's ticklish spot? :Secret:

Hit up a couple spots, the first adjacent to team Trolltoon....that only kicked out wipers for us. These fish are a blast to catch and hit like a freight train. 'WIPER POWER'

Checked out another spot in the Flats and Omar nailed our lone kitty of the evening...wtg son!(stay out of that spot Saturday, I saw it first!!!)

The night ended too quickly, the warm summer night had us all wishing for a 2am close. Maybe next year when the economy picks up and more fisherman come out to make it worth their while to stay open later right Jimmy! :Wink:

-don't forget fishermen, that the Irvine Lake Wiper Bass, and Largemouth Bass are "Catch and Release ONLY" (all of the Bass Family).

Cool report. For some reason, I dont have that much luck for catfish at irvine. I guess I need to rent a boat or try the boat dock (is that Boat Dock Cove?)

The pictures were taken inside Woody's Cove, but we didn't have much luck there so we left....try the trees back in the flats for better results. Shore fishing can be tough, the exception being a day or so after the stocking when the cats hang out in the trees near Boat Dock Cove especially the one in between the kids lagoon and main lake. Good luck Koontaj and feel free to PM me if you need further info, looking forward to your future reports holding a limit of kittys!
