My son's forst soccer game was Saturday at 8, so Dad and I hit the lake from 10-noon. We hit a big cove right away, had about 1/2 hour of scattered boils, no hookups. Then it got hot. At about 11, the wind picked up a little. At 11:30, we say the biggest boil I've ever seen at DVl. Too bad it was 100yds away. (That right there tells you how big it was. It was out towards the middle of the lake. Us and 1 other boat raced towards it, about half way there, it disappeared. The other boat said that when boils are that big, it is probably bigger fish. I agreed, except until I went into the marina store when we left and saw how many big stripers have been caught the last few day. I think that's what it must have been. Oh well - be back next week - early this time! Bring lots of water!
