Some help going out of Dana Point Harbor

Been fishing out of Newport and Long beach for the last 2 years. Plan to try outside Dana point harbor tomorrow Aug 21. We should be on the water by 8 am and have a couple of spots to check on. Won't be going to far ---- we like to stay with in 5 miiles of the harbor. If any of you care to share some insights or general info about places to fish we would apprecate the help. We understand keeping your honey hole location secret. We fish off our 21 foot Center console T top.
