Went camping on the upper Kern last weekend and managed to get some time in on the water.
Most of the fishing was in the am.. until about an hour after the sun made it over the ridge.
Biggest fish was on the fly, the rest on spinners.
Find a decent pool, and you will find fish. I came across one pool that was nearly a fish/strike every cast til i wore out my welcome. Fished two more little pools for another fish or two.
Lost the nicest fish of the day on the fly. Lost a few more on the spinner. I think I got about 6 or 7 total.
Nothing huge, but still a good time. I almost forgot how fun trout fishing is.
