Heading out to S.B. for my daughters soccer tournament, and I want to get in some fishing while I'm there.
I have never fished the shores or piers in S.B.
I will be staying downtown very close to the beach/harbor.
Anyone know any good info/tips on the beaches near there or if fishing from the harbor is allowed?
Also I know theres a pier there nearby, just wondering if that would be a better bet.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

that whole stretch of beach where you are staying is good. throw Lucky crafts or swimbaits from the beach if you are looking for halibut. you can easily fish the harbor mouth, (from both sides if you dont mind walking).

Waders would also be good to have now, as the water has cooled recently. Ditto on the stearns wharf area.

I hear it is a great area and some talented friends have taken me there several time for nothing more than a few small perch! Trust me though! I am their bad luck charm!

Mikey is right on the money! Probably why he has been taking his boat out to the deeper waters for some nice fish with friends lately as the water is to cold from the shore.
