after a hard week at my flooring buisness, it was time for some fishing with one of my friends,wingnut was up for some striper killing. as i drove thru the early morning dark, i was seeing critters everywhere running and flying by the truck, that all stopped as soon as i got into the gate at san ant,i didnt like that-no deer. parked at the south ramp and prepped the boat then neaxt thing i know here comes arthur ready to slay some pig stripeys. we hit the water and went to work ,it didnt take long and we found the schools and the fact they were all over the bait,we had to work for almost 5hrs to get a stripey,the smallies bugged us all day long they just kept hitting the rigs every time i got to close to the shore line ,normally when i cover that much water i see deer around the lake laying down or eating or drinking me and art didnt see one,i know i cant blame the slow bite on the deer , but it sure is funny that when they are not around the stripeys act funny. anyway we pressed all day long ,ever time a smallie would grab the rig and come to the surface as soon as art would see them he would shake them off so we could continue the troll.after and all day marathon of trolling pretty close to 15 hrs art had to go ,he had to get home then go to palmsprings the next day. art left i went and got cleaned up and sat and worked on gear while i eat dinner, trying to figure what was going on with the stripers ,we had saw so many inactive schools i just couldnt beleave it. i got up early the next morning had some coffee and some donuts art left me i uasally dont eat till i catch or a client does buit i was so pissed at the sat results ,i had some anyway damn the curse of phoung-eating before the catch, badbeat knows the deal he broke the code farmed a monster then had to wait a little while till he got hooked up on a wide open bite. anyway i worked shocks alley for zip pressed the wingnut-meat-bucket for one perfect pass ove a ctive shad ball for one of the biggest fish of the day, t/o's corner also gave up one fish,but afte about 5 hrs of trolling hard it was time to head to the area . i dropped the rigs and not 5minutes later as a passed a little canyon coming down to the water there was a great big doe deer coming down for a drink, i was very pleased,and it was about twenty minutes later i found the openwater schools that were on full on attack mode which made me very happy. i pushed the count up to six,and in the group of kills i had a quadruple hookup, both rods got slammed as i slow the boat to go thru a school i thought i was too high above the next thing i know both rods were getting slammed , i stopped the boat and started fighting the first rod while the other was giving raped, some where in the fight the load got lighter i knew i had lost one of a double hookup, i got the first fish to the deck, i grabbed the second rod that a fish for a few feet before the line went dead, when i pulled it in i noticed one line was broke off, the other the hook was bent half way back a big time hookup, my first rod also had a broken leader there was four fish on at once , i was really bummed but fired up at the same time. as i worked the open water i killed two more fish, real nice san-ant pigs,then i saw a golden eagle grabbing a floater that had washed ashore on a little beach, just a few minutes later while i was making a turn one of the rods got the super bendo thing, i stopped the boat and got into the fight i was surprised to see two more pigs coming in, they got into the net ,i hit the limit and made up for what mr stripey had done to me and art the day before, thankyou for everything WINGUN,,,,,i had to do that arthur,,,,thanks again for all the laughs and all the serious stuff,,,,,,,,,,,,T/O,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Those striper have little heads and big bodies. I think all those carp must be good food.
