BBL 8-14am

Father-in-Law, Jim, and I on the water at west launch about 7am and fished to 11am.

We caught 2 trout each, and we both had one break-off. Landed fish were 1 to 2 lbs each.

All were caught trolling - about 15' - 20' deep around the west end. Gold seemed to be the color of the morning. Mine were caught on a gold and green needlefish. My break-off was on a black roostertail. Jim's were mainly on a gold kastmaster.

We're going back out in a bit for some late afternoon/evening fishin' and will report back.

Black Rooster Tail with the Gold? Dynamite lure, shhh! Last weekend was pretty good on the fly, but caught more stockers than in past days.

Jim wanted the trout - what can I say ...

Have you been hitting the bass solid lately? I'll be up Aug 27/28/29 and will work the trout unless someone can convince me I can get me some bass-love.

u can see sum decent sized bass in the shallows but i havent targeted them.Still trying for the infamous summer trout,lol.
