Summer Fishing Sizzles at the Vine

The fishing at Irvine Lake has been red hot as of late with tons of big fish being pulled from the lake each week. This past week as been exceptional on the lunker fish here on multi species. The key has been to find the right sturcture and implement the right techniques to get these fish to go.
Mary Sauceda of Costa Mesa checked in this 13 lb Blue Catfish last Saturday night. Martys fish ate a piece of Mac fished in the trees back in the flats.

Lake Regular Phil Hildebrandt and Elaine Dickernoff checked in this 42.1 Limit for 10 fish. That is a 4.1 avg!! Unbelievable fishing guys.

Even the bass guys are getting in on the Lunker Catfish. Pictured here is Seth Mostero with a monster Channel Catfish. Seth's catfish weighed in at 13.0 and ate a Varmint Lures OD rat.

James Anna also cashed in on the bass bite with this 3.5lb Largemouth while fishing a nightcrawler in boat dock cove.

All of these photos are from the last six days guys. I have a 12lb wiper that I am waiting for a email photo of and a 8.6 Largemouth that will be brought up later tonight. Get up here the fish of your lifetime is waiting to get caught. If you are after the lunker largemouth or catfish do yourself a favor and come to Irvine Lake

Some nice fish coming out of the Vine these days, including a couple mac daddy sized wipers.

WTG go on the bass Jimmy, you guys throwing Whit's lure should be called the "Vine Rat Pack"....keep the reports and pictures coming!

*and the Trout are still around, and growing tail!- Local Resident, Bob Lawler lost a pig trout near the boat doing an early evening troll session lastnight with some lures i provided.... estimated at least 9lbs, and over 20+"

Sounds like good times with good fish. i'll be out sat. mornig with Maverick27 looking for some of those big girls.
