Evan called me and set up a trip for he and his dad Robert to come out to DVL with me to catch some bass. So I took them out last Friday for a Bass fishing trip neither of them will soon forget.

I told them that I we'd be targeting breaking fish with different types of reaction baits... They couldnt wait to get to our first spot..
As I pulled up the bass were already boiling like crazy...
We start firing out casts and starting catching bass right away...

This action was crazy... The bass were Boiling on the bait everywhere around us...
Evan and his Dad slayed the bass until about 11:30am when the action finally calmed down and we made a move. We lost count on how many we caught..
I then asked them if they wanted to hammer on the stripers for a while...and their answer was a resounding....."YES"... so I took them to catch some stripers...AND that bite was WIDE OPEN AS WELL!! we spent the next couple hours chasing the Strpiers that were boiling on the surface. We has multiple double hookups and a few triple hookups even.

The bass were caught on a variety of reaction baits from topwater baits to spoons.
The Striper were all caught on topwater baits...

Here are a couple pics...

Excellent report! Fishing the recent underwater structure by the inlet is the hot spot for sure after the shade is gone. Keep up the good fishing!

Do you mind specifically saying what exactly you caught them on. I just moved to socal and have no clue about the fishing here. I know guys don't like to give their secrets, but I figured I might as well ask
