So Sunday started a 3 am in the morning when my daughter woke me up asking "Hey daddy, is it time to leave yet?" After another couple hours of sleep we hit the road.
The fog was out in full force. This is the view back towards the main ramp from Elizabeth Canyon.

Found a few largies boilin on some shad. Got one on a spook. She thought the topwater bite was pretty awesome to see.

My Uncle got one on a drop shot and I got two more on a spinnerbait as the day went on. My daughter had a good 3 lbs + on her ultra light on a Roboworm. Fought like crazy, jumped about a foot out of the water on her, took her down into the brush and snapped the line. I was bummed but her face was lit up like a Christmas tree she was so excited.

Well she decided later she wanted to throw a spinnerbait, show we changed her up and she began chunkin (I was so proud).
So here it is. Her first spinnerbait fish.

She gave it a kiss and we sent it back on its way.

Fishing was tougher then it has been the last couple weeks for me but we were able to grind out 7 total for the day. 1 topwater, 3 spinnerbait and 3 on Robo's. 7 o'clock came and it was time to head home (although she didn't want to leave yet). Could have came home with skunk on us and it still would've been the best day fishing for me yet.:Big Grin:
