So I didn't get to make it out this weekend but am going to try to spend a day on the water this week as I have a couple days off.

Thinking of trying corona or SARL for the first time (I usually go to Irvine).

I know everyone is catching cats but I think it would be cool to get a sturgeon. Any tips or advice anyone has to offer in regard to catching them? You pretty much use the same bait/rigging as the cats, right?

I also noticed a some posts recommending bonita as great cat bait. I actually have a bunch of yellowfin in my freezer left over form last year that I'm hesitant to eat at this point. WOuld that make good bait for either species?

Thank you.

The tuna would be excellent for bait. Problem is keeping it on the hook. I would try the mesh material. The tilapia really can strip live bait from hooks at Corona.
