those mosquitos are EVERYWHERE. BUG SPRAY. everywhere from Bridgeport to Convict. hide yo wife. hide yo kids. haha.
Anyways, for the report. I posted a week ago and got a bunch of great tips from SierraPeaks and Rapalaz. I stayed at the haven resort in the June Lake Loop.
Day 1: hit up the east walker river for two smaller 12 inch models. and one larger 19 inch wild brown. This fish alone could have made my trip. The East Walker is fishing very well right now. The flows are not too fast that wading isnt possible and slower moving stretches of water are holding loads of big browns right now. They're eating well too, every 3 mins a 20 inch brown trout would leap a foot into the air to grab unsuspecting flies, dragonflies and grasshoppers. We wished streamers and tube jigs mostly. The 19" was on the mini jig.

On the way back to June, we hit up the Upper Twin to cool off for a while. The wind was annoying so we packed and left.
Day 2: Hit up Silver Lake and Gull Lake.
Silver and Gull Lake are both fishing pretty steadily. We fished Silver for about 4 stockers on the red powerworms near the boat launch area. We saw a couple boats bring in a few limits. Forgot the camera today, so no pics.
Gull Lake was fishing a bit better than Silver. Fished the side opposite to the marina for 5 stockers and a 14" alpers. All on the pink shad powerworms.
Day 3: Checked out at 10 am and headed for beautiful Convict Lake.

We fished here for 2 hours by the marina for 1 stocker caught by my pops.

Absolutely beautiful lake. My lil brother did hook into a 6 lb alper that snapped the 3 lb test. Probably the highlight of the trip. So if anyone fishing Convict Lake catches a huge alper with a mirashad hanging out of its mouth, lemme know. haha.
All in all. two days and a half is not long enough to fully enjoy the serenity and beauty that the Eastern Sierras have to offer.
Oh, and on a side note, we dropped our crawdad trap at the June Lake marina for some of these tasty buggers too.
