left around 9:00pm on fridaynight to drop off one last load of boxes in carson, so i headed to pedro for late ninja run to shake the spotted feeling. tossed in about 10:30 and no bites till about midnight and landed a decent sized sand bass, one more toss for the road and landed a 8lb starfish, i wanted to bring it up to take a pic. luckly i had the 15lb izor line on. but that would be my demise, the line wouldn't retrive in it would just drag on every crank, so i figure what the hell and hand retrieve. as i was pulling up i grabbed the rod near it's third eye slit and SNAP!! my freakin rod broke in half, shi77..the starfish was still on until the remaining pole slid down and knocked the starfish loose..FAIL 2x, i dropped it in the drink where he saw his last catch..back to posiden you go budd, king midas got me lots of gold in tourneys and ninja sessions with big fish. i kept the reel with the 3 rounds, his catching spirit will live on..
after that fiasco. i headed for the marina near by and seen the tide at it's lowest. nothing but rocks, only a few feet of openings from the docks not worth it, walked the whole marina and to it's jetty and seen no hope of a cast until the tide rises.
i google mapped my surroundings and seen a few other marinas near vincent st. thomas bridge off the 47. made all trips with the same answers, tide was too low and the rocks would have made it difficult to even try. back to the map, kinda felt like dora the ninja explora. other side of the drink was long beach, i knew the light house would have been tough with the same answers, so i skipped that ish. went straight for the marina on ocean and people still partying on there boats and slips.. i tried still and tossed in a few cast but the 30 yard stares had burned a hole in my black sweater. so up and away i fled to across the street and tried the rainbow lagoon, i heard it's untouchable!!!"bullshi77" that place had nothing in it, but they were setting up for a bigg party on the grass at the hyatt or something..
last redemption chance.....
