Recommendations for Rock Creek Area

My wife and I will be going up to the Rock Creek area this Saturday and camping for two nights. Which campgrounds would any of you recommend for camping? Plan is to fish along the road and lake on Saturday and then on Sunday follow Smitty's advice on the lakes in the Little Lakes Valley. What thoughts/recommendations/advice would you give? Thanks.

My only experience has been with the East Fork campground which I will recomend. Although it's one of the larger campgrounds in the area, I never got the feeling of being crowded. Several nice sites tucked in among the trees, some close to the creek. Clean restrooms.

if you can find a spot at Iris Meadow or Big Meadow I'd camp there. I think those are first come first serve. there are several spots right on the creek. Little lakes valley is great for scenery and the hike is not bad at all. Lot's of little Brookies to catch at most all the lakes. P.S. My friend just caught a 3 lbs. and a 4 lbs. Alpers off the beach by the boat dock on Rock Creek Lake. have fun!
