Hey guys need help identifying this fish. I saw it at a local asian market and they had it labled as baby bonito. I've caught a few bonito and its not quite it. The fish I saw is the one on top. It has those distinctive black dots down towards the bottom left of the gills. TIA

thanks for the info guys, i swear i've seen this fish caught in some fishing show at one time or another before. at first i thought it was a skip jack or something. thanks again.

After looking at the photo several times. The false albacore the other bullet tuna. I still think its a bullet tuna not a false albacore.

A subspecies of the tuna family, very similar to the bonita. I've seen these guys get caught all the time on East coast fishing shows they call them false albacore as mentioned above.
