Couple of guys have shown interest in fishing a little bass tournament at Irvine.

Let's hear if anyone is interested in joining us and what you think about the setup.

$20-$40 per team plus lake entry fee.
3 fish limit 12" closed mouth.
pay back
1st - 50%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 20%

Maybe big bass $5 bucks winner take all. maybe some prizes, lures, line etc. for closest to 2# and 3# fish? Ideas?

We would meet up about 4 or 5pm go ever basic rules. Fish till 10:30-11pm then see who wins?

Friday or Sat. night still working on dates so let me know what works for you guys.

weekend of August 20, 21st? or 27, 28th?

Thanks!:Envious:

Id be down. Maybe alittle more than $5 for the big fish more like $10-$20. 28th wouldnt be good, the Vine is having the Dana Memorial Event that day. 20th or 21st would probably be better dates or sometime next month.

Yea....we can adjust the prices for big fish. $10-20 sounds good. Thanks for reminding me about the Dana event. I don't want to take anything away from that!

Would you guys like a day or night event?

The bass fishing is good early morning and late afternoon so both would work.

I'm down fir sure!!! I'd prefer daytime. That way were not done so late. The other tourneys are night right now. Just my opinion.

i was thinking the same thing. since this would be an unoffical event and the issue with lights etc. would make it hard to do it right.

Jimmy posted that they are working on one. I would still like to do this. maybe it will be just before and would be a great pre-fish event?

I would be interested...but can't make the 28th...because of the team 57 catfish event...
Unless I fished the bass and catfish tourney at the same time!

The lake is having a special event that day so the lake itself will probably be less crowded. Sounds like itd be a good day.

Here is the deal. Let's shoot for the 21st. Meet at the launch ramp area or the grass area near it. Get everyones names, maybe your cell so i can call you if we can't find you or ? some money and get fishing. put some $ in $40 per team?
As far as details I'm open to suggestions. i have never done one of these...i want everyone to have a good time and be happy :) anyone want to help?

fish from 6:30 or 7:00am ( when we can get everyone on the water and go) not doing a launch or ? you just go fishing. meet back at 1pm to 1:15pm

3 fish per team limit.

meet back at the ramp with fish....i am thinking we can take turns jumping on your boat. get your fish weight from a dig. hook scale. (all i got is a culling scale) unless you guys have a nice scale. let fish go maybe a pic with a big one for FNN posts.

get all the weights.....meet up at the grass area and give out some cash. you can go back fishing after if you want. should only take 30-45 mins i am thinking.

we can do a big fish option for $10 bucks?

basic rules etc. this will be something fun and you can meet other bass fisherman.

you will need a boat, live well to keep fish ALIVE! this is a C&R lake. don't hurt the bass...lol

Anyone want to add anything or help out doing this....that would be GREAT. Looking to have maybe 5-10 boats.

we will split up the prizes as follows.

1st 50% of the pot
2nd 30% of the pot
3rd 20% of the pot

big fish is 100% of the pot.

hows that sound?

Great job! I'm there! I'll get everyone I can to enter. If anyone wants to donate any prizes would be cool too!

We will need to limit the field to 10-15 boats based on the DFG regulations on event permits. We need to keep the money and prizes under 1k or i get in trouble. We should have no problem doing that with a field of 10-15 plus based on the way i will need to wieght the fish it will be better to have less boats.

hmmm I don't have a boat...and the rentals don't have live wells..

Anyone need a partner? I'll be glad to split gas...and I'll bring the food!

Sorry Bass Engineer. I just noticed this post. I would have helped you find a partner if I had seen it. There was another post started for this event. Let me know next time and we'll help figure something out
