solo trip to vail

I took a solo 1/2 day trip to Vail on tuesday, Megan is at camp this week in Idyllwild. I made some bait (6:45 - 7:15) and had some frozen shad as well and made my way out to the dam (still don't have my trolling motor fixed yet). Today it seemed as though the fish would come breezing through the area every now and then, as I would go 30 - 40 min without a bite and then catch 3 or 4 in a row. I managed 18 today and one 8lb cat. It was good to see Art Hill, Angel, and Jowel out there, they were off the water pretty early today also (12:30 - 1:00). here are a few pics.
