Mystry Fish from The Mojave River...Help Identify!

[Mojave River Angler]

I was angling the Mojave River here in Barstow yesterday and dragged out this critter. Help me ID this booger.

Tha's a watermellon crappie . Very rare indeed .

At LEAST it wasn't one of those not so rare baby ruth fish that tend to fin right up near the surface !

Some confuse those particular fish as brown trout !


did that greenback floater have another species cruising nearby ?

The ever so popular Smirnoff sucker ?

combine those 2 species and they could be a nice party !

Simply catch the greenback floater...stuff with the Smirnoff sucker and Viola....instant friends !

Ya, I'm with you on this one...fillet the fish then soak the fillets in Smirnoff...pass out to friends. Makes a good party great.

don't pass out near the crews I used ta hang out.....man...I know, not that I ever allowed it and I "NEVER" passed out because of that....weird stuff starts happening and people wake up with makeup...nylons...clown wigs...and a laundry list of otjher things not mentionable here online in a family enviroment...

Watermelon UP ! but don't be amongst the 1st few to fade...otherwise there will be regrets : )
