Skinner 8-01

Well, decided to hit up Skinner and hopefully hook up on some stripers. After a pretty eventless slow troll towards the dam, we finally got bit around 11. Nice 7lb+ cat! And she was spewin eggs like I've never seen. 2476024761After that, we drifted chovies and livers, and ended up with 3 stripes (1lb 8 the biggest), and a 7lb 8oz cat right in mid lake.

Hah! Dodged the skunk. I'm thinking about targeting some stripers myself next time out. Maybe I'll do the LMB thing early and drift the 2nd 1/2 of the day.... That stripey is good eatin' size.

I haven't heard much success of the largies lately, but then again, you don't see them at the cleaning table either. Only saw stripers at the filet house, though. Seemed like a slow day compared to last week.

thats odd that the kitty was spewin eggs, it was my understanding that they bear their young alive....hmn...gonna have to look more into that..
