Alamitos Bay Float-Tube Session 07/31/2010

My lil brother and i went back out to Alamitos Bay this weekend. I had just came back from Vegas, and didnt think it would be this cold back at home. Water was cold, but lower body got used to it after awhile. Not a great report, enjoy the few pics :Rolls Eyes:

Fishing was slow cause of low tide :Sad:

We worked most docks, trolled the beaches, not much action going on.

I got bored and threw on a vertical jig, just bouncing it around for about 5 mins, then as i decided to reel it back up, i get hit! :EyePop: And im like WTF?!

Yeah i know, we're workin on gettin some waders, thats a must! Ive been spending too much money on everyone else, getting their float-tubes, tackle, other gear, etc. Im too generous, and rather take others out fishing with me, than going alone haha.

Thanks for the report. I was out there Sat...launched around the yatch club off Ocean. Fishing was slow but I managed 2 spotties, 1 lizzard fish and a star fish.

Where did you guys launch from? I think I could have caught more if I had more structure to fish!

I believe we launched at the same place. At the tiny beach off Ocean Blvd, near the smaller sail boat place.

Yeah, fishing was slow. We went around the whole island too -____- took us 5 hours to get around.
