Took my good friend Steve, his son Mason and Mitch “fishrdi” out for a twilight bass trip aboard the “Big Drum” in the Santa Monica Bay. The wind was blowing about 15-18 knots and the seas were very lumpy, so we gradually made it out to our first spot. Fortunately, we were rewarded with a triple hook-up on nice quality Sand Bass.

Steve and Mitch with the Bass from out first drop…sweet, love when that happens.

Mitch was the hot stick on the boat with his 10lb test line. Mitch caught 15 of the 30 Bass that we caught. Way to go Mitch, and thanks for cleaning the fish, you are a great fisherman and deckhand.

I had another awesome trip fishing on the big pond, can’t wait to go again. HOOK-UP!!

Till next tide,
