Woke early and decided to hit the west-end of the lake. Launched the tube about 7am by the Red House and kicking about 1/4 across the lake got my first of four landed for the day. It was a 1 pounder caught on a black wooly bugger. 20 minutes later and got a REALLY hard hit - took a while to get it in the basket, but success - weighed in at 2lbs 6oz an 18" long - pictured below along with another pounder. Two other tubers were out and a few kayakers. I think everyone got a few.

Got a few other hits in the next 2 hours, but didn't land any. Just after 10am got a pounder pictured below and another about 10:30. Got off the water at 11.

All were caught on black wooly bugger fly. Most were caught on a slow, steady kick, no (or little) stripping. Some were up high, others down low.

Niot sure whether I'll get out tomorrow, and won't be back until Aug 14th.

Cheers!

Nice job! You got the right idea on the kick, slow presentation. But ya never know sometimes it's a stripping game.

I'll be out there Friday and Saturday, hope you didn't catch them all!
