Up in BBL for a few days, so of course found time to fish.
Thanks to Seal for some pointers!! Skipping the early morning when the winds are light an toughing it out with the afternoon winds was the ticket.
Kicked around the dam area Sunday from 12pm-5pm. The bite seemed to turn on around 3pm. 4 trout total landed in my basket. 2 more on the hook but broke off. The biggest was pushing 3lbs, maybe a hair over, caught on a black wooly bugger - jumped out of my stripping basket before I had a chance to weigh it and snap a pic. I got pix of 2 that day - each about 1lb - one on the same fly (and another not pictured) and one on rainbow powerbait about 18' under a bobber. While chatting with a guy in a boat anchored to a bouy, my bobber took a serious dive straight down - drag was too tight and broke off - I assume it was another big one. Most I caught were very deep. The 3lbr on the fly got hooked deep and kept diving deep - took a while to goose it in.
Monday afternoon got on the water from 2-5. Picked up 3 (2 pictured) all about 1lb, all on a black wooly bugger.
