Well,
Finally got out to the lake today. Landed 3, one of which was a very confused Largemouth that tasted my sardine (let him go). Also lost a real nice one but was a fun fight. One was at the bouy line, the other stripy was in Elizabeth Canyon. Overall, great weather and slow fishing...but any day on the lake is a great day!

yep.....the diet of westcoast bass baffles us all. the largest bass i caught @ puddingstone didnt come from the drop, or a crank, or a swimbait, but on a dang wax worm while i was fishin for crappies. go figure.

thanks for the report....good days are comin at castaic. bank on it.

Thanks for the report. Congrats on catching during the tough bite.

We've boated quite a few bass at the buoy line on cut sardines and anchovies. We've also caught trout the same way.

You can tell that somethings up, the bites are different than striper bites.

You didn't tear them up, but you were thankfull for what you did catch and you have a great attitude on just being out on the water... nice job
